A Letter from the Shand Family

“ From the moment we knew we were gifted a weekend, we felt special and taken care of by the texts and phone calls we received about our arrival.   I’ve never experienced anything like the feelings I had when walking into the Bevy Hotel that morning.   The  room full of people cheering and clapping for my husband was overwhelming in the best way.   We had no idea what to expect.  The amount of people that took time out of their weekend to show up and shower us with love is something I’ll never forget.  The friendly faces, the hugs, the handshakes, and warm smiles - “It’s all in the greeting.”  

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful day in downtown Boerne listening to music, shopping at Market Days, and eating fantastic food.  Thank you so much for a weekend getaway that we will always cherish, and for the love and encouragement that is oftentimes missing for the family of a LEO.  Our family appreciates Hopes for Heroes and all they stand for.”
